JC Carter’s Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to youth development through sports camps, mentorship, educational programming, scholarships, and community initiatives.

3. Program Participation

Participation in sports camps, events, and programs:

  • May require registration, waivers, and parental consent for minors

  • Is subject to eligibility requirements and available capacity

  • Does not guarantee placement in a program or receipt of a scholarship

The Foundation reserves the right to:

  • Modify, reschedule, or cancel programs

  • Deny participation for safety, conduct, or eligibility reasons

4. Assumption of Risk – Athletics & Activities Participation in sports and physical activities involves inherent risks. By registering, participants (and parents/guardians of minors):

  • Acknowledge these risks

  • Agree to follow all safety rules and staff instructions

  • Accept responsibility for personal health and medical readiness

A signed liability waiver will be required before participation.

5. Medical & Emergency Care

In the event of an emergency, the Foundation may seek medical treatment for participants when a parent/guardian cannot be reached. Any related costs are the responsibility of the participant or parent/guardian.

6. Scholarships

Scholarships are:

  • Awarded based on eligibility, available funding, and application review

  • Not guaranteed

  • Subject to documentation and verification

The Foundation reserves the right to revoke scholarships if false information is provided.

7. Donations

All donations are voluntary and non-refundable unless required by law. JC Carter’s Foundation, Inc. is a recognized tax-exempt organization. Donors should consult a tax professional regarding deductibility.

8. Intellectual Property

All website content, logos, program materials, photos, videos, and branding are the property of JC Carter’s Foundation, Inc. and may not be used without written permission.

9. Media Release

By participating in programs or events, you grant permission for photographs, video, or audio recordings to be used for:

  • Promotional materials

  • Social media

  • Reports and publications

If you wish to opt out, you must submit a written request.

10. Code of Conduct

Participants and attendees must:

Show respect to staff and other participants

  • Follow all rules and safety guidelines

  • Refrain from disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior

Failure to comply may result in removal without refund.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JC Carter’s Foundation, Inc., its directors, officers, volunteers, partners, and sponsors are not liable for:

  • Injuries arising from participation in activities

  • Lost or stolen personal property

  • Indirect or incidental damages
